Just realized you're in CT, I'm in western MA so if you need a hand let me know.

I just priced out an 'enthusiast package' clutch job, with a 2 day turn around in my shop, and I'd do it for $1,300 to get an idea of where your trusted mechanics price is.

Verus clutch fork and pivot, OEM TOB, OEM Pilot bearing, Motul Gear 300, Exedy stage 1 clutch kit, and a new OEM Exedy flywheel, OR an ACT HDSS with the ACT flywheel. Same price.

Less if you just want a stock clutch kit. You'd leave with a resurfacable OEM flywheel you could likely have resurfaced and sell for $75ish, and your car would be ready to hold the power a FI kit can make. No idea if you want to go down that road.
