Dam that's a tough place.
You could ask how much is the extrended warranty and compare how much the job would cost.
If that's not an option you could find a mechanic shop that has worked on thoese cars before and get a quote.
If you still want to save money, and have the room and tools you can take out the engine out yourself, and drop it off at a shop and have it worked on. Then just install it back yourself.
