When you get a quote make sure they break down parts and labor and what each cost. Try a non dealer shop you trust, best one familiar wit working on subarus. A skilled mechanic can do the job in 2-3 hours max.
This is a video of Neal @ The Racers Line who did my TOB+ clutch job. He drops a transmission in 20 mins. Did a great job on my car.
