I can understand absolute blatant disregard for the vehicle. But to blanket it as if everyone who has an issue is just simply irresponsible, I can't agree with that.

What is with you and jumping to extremes? You argue like a politician, half listening to what someone says and then jumping to an extreme assumption. All I said was for all you know his friends
might have shown a certain amount of neglect to their stangs. And went on to tell him not to base his perception of quality and reliability on third party experiences; what about that is so wrong? I was told SVT Focus' were trouble, that "this that and the third would break." I drive my car HARD and used to track the hell out of it but I neglect NOTHING, the car has only left me on the road once because of a sliced Crank position sensor wire; I do meticulous vehicle checks every quarter year just to make sure everything is in decent to great condition.
Taking care of a car doesn't mean waiting till something goes wrong before you try to fix it. You don't wait until you're already sick to start taking vitamins do you? Preventative measures. If that's too hard to understand or you want to take that as a blanket generalization for all mechanical failures being the owners fault then do so, anyone else reading this likely wont. I don't plan on trying to convince you of anything you've already proved it's futile to try.
