With recent Mustangs? Ford made a horrible car for a long time, but their new stuff is in another league. I highly recommend at least checking one out before passing judgment.
To the "too big" argument going on, I'm with Shado...there's plenty of cross-shopping between the BRZ and a number of other cars, Mustang included.
I was always the kind of guy who considered the S2000 to be a fantastic car, but perhaps a bit too porky for my application. I got behind the wheel of the new 5.0, and it turns out to be a helluva car. No doubt that it is long and heavy, and a nightmare to drive on most autoX course, but it is an absolute beast of a driver's car. The balance is fantastic, and the car is setup to use all four tires in a steady state condition...moreso than even the FRS, which will readily push.
Getting behind the wheel of one may or may not change your mind, but there is no debate that it
can. Up to you whether it is worth your time to check before buying.
