So... have you ever considered installing a backup camera? Truly one of the most practical/useful mods I did for this car. Total cost on my 2013 was under $200. $100 for the used touchscreen head unit, $60 for the camera, and $30 for the wiring harness. A simple, well documented DIY project!!!
