Well, the legal wheel options out there are kinda limited if you want something that's light and as close to the lowest offset as possible. I don't care for the look of many of the best deal wheels, and most of those have a +45 offset or higher. Which means the added cost of extended studs and spacers if I want a +40 offset.
The Braid wheels are ~$1,200, that's hardly an unheard of amount of money for a set of decent autox wheels. I'm not sure exactly how much it'll cost to make them a bit lighter, which is why I asked for a quote. I still doubt it will be an unheard of amount.
In reality, I will probably go with something cheaper in the end. But it's nice to have the option for something that is ideal specs for class and that I actually like the look up. Plus I get to directly support some local grassroots racers, all while not spending a ton. That'd be a win in my book.
