I won't deny that we have tons of performance car options today, but thats different than a few decades ago. Most of the options are heavily based on boring econoboxes or sedans, because the automakers can't afford to give us the sexy dedicated platform coupes they used to (or at least that's what they tell us). The choices from the Germans, especially, are boggling Audi S & RS, BMW M, MB AMG...so much stuff. But oh, if you want something under 3500 lb with a manual transmission then you're SOL. In the end most of them are offering close to the exact same experience.
