FYI, a EL (like stock) will always feel smoother than a UEL (your aftermarket header). UEL's rumble/vibrate, which resonate through the chassis.

Additionally, a quieter car will ALWAYS feel faster, because you can step on the accelerator more without "hearing" as much acceleration, but feel more.
Lol it's interesting you say quiet cars feel faster -I've been in a few straight piped cars (not twins) and the shear assault on the senses always makes it feel faster to me.

On my car, I noticed the UEL rumble (which is awesome), but throttle tip it feels like the car lunges forward abruptly. Kind of reminds me of my sportbike when you roll into the throttle in a lower gear, it kind of jumps on you right when the throttle plate begins to open, even with incredibly smooth throttle input. I've gotten used to it, but it is noticeable. I kind of thought it might have to do with the bypass valve closing and the boost engaging, but that's just another theory...
