As to the original question, No, mod fads, whatever they may be, do not ruin our cars! If a car is ruined it is the modder's. It may be hideously ugly, but my car is still beautiful. If someone tries to put rocket bunny or any other kind of rabbit shit on my car, there will be blood. Their car? No sweat off my ass.
The modder probably thinks his/her car is beautiful. That's fine. That's the beauty of liberty, we're all free to be full of our own shit.
