000BRZ

In my Previous posts I replaced The 2017 BRZ Headset with a Kenwood DNX893S (there is a newer one coming out).
If you use this unit Update the operating system to the latest 2017 version with at least a 8GB SDX SD card. and also the maps...IT'S FREE!!!
With idatalink & Maestro 99% works.
Uses Sirius Antenna(DON'T BUY ONE)
Steering Wheel control work (now) old BRZ\FRS there is a control kit
Appleplay and Andriod Play work
OEM rear camera works, Kenwood Front Camera works(use to front park so I don't hit my lip)
HAVE TO USE KENWOOD MICROPHONE (OEM WILL NOT WORK)
Garmin MAPS is heaven sent. With the 2017 Operating System update the graphics are greatly improved too.
Spacers for the sides come from Crutchfield
Getting most car data, gauges system info, tire Pressure and TEMPERATURE
Has every option for controlling music quality, crossover, special settings
(I added a 75 WATT Kenwood AMP and all new Alpine speakers
I used a 2015 dash trim to replace the trapezoidal trim (the right side panel is shorter than the 2017 (so you HAVE to replace both, AND if your stupid enough to install a 2017 headset in a 2013-2016 YOU NEED BOTH THE 2017 HS TRIM AND SIDE PANELS)
The leather peels off the 2017 right panel and you can wrap it on the older panel by removing 1/32" off the straight side (see my photo) You cad also buy any color and stitching leather for $95 on Amazon to wrap both.
You can play DVD's, CD's run music off the SD card, also use a USB memory clip to Program update and music
The updating is as simple as apple pie if you follow the instructions
Hope you enjoy my experience
(I highly recommend you use a Kenwood/idatalink/Maestro experienced installer unless you are an MIT Post Doctorate Nuclear Physicist.
