I'm on UEL headers and flex fuel and it's quite noticeable when I'm not on E85. When I'm on petrol I have to give it more oomph to keep up with traffic whereas on E85 I never seem to go over 3.5k rpm to keep pace. To me it feels like a small V6 when I'm on E85, even if it's a bad comparison.
