Also, what about the 10-series? Was that color offered anywhere else?
That's true. I actually have a master list that I have yet to post here but the numbers are:

10 Series: 2000 TOTAL (North America)
.HyperBlue: 500 for USA, 100 for Canada, 50 for Australia = 650 TOTAL
.Yellow: 500 for USA, Unknown # for Canada = 500+ TOTAL
RS 2.0: 850 for USA, 150 for Canada = 1000 TOTAL

So far Series.Yellow is the "unicorn color" between the twins since we don't know Canada's number (it's most likely less than 100).

The rare colors are cool but I don't know how I'll feel about them when these cars age. The Miata (NA,NB especially) was also a car that has a bunch of special edition colors but when I see those particular Miatas I see them as "just another clean Miata."

Honestly I'm more wowed by a special edition color when the car is significantly modified and that's coming from someone who keeps their HyperBlue stock (I'd keep any BRZ pretty muchstock btw regardless of edition.)
