One thing I read earlier today from Element Tuning. They are using a Hydra stand alone tuning solution, and they say the car is fairly knock prone, which is why it is tuned relatively rich at the top end, to avoid knock. So if your intake is leaning out the top end, the car might be getting worried and throwing codes, because it wants to be richer to avoid any sort of knock condition.
I know the early intakes so far have all focused on leaning out the top end to get more power, but the other side of that is the risk to the AFR. That's why several good companies have not released intakes yet, like Perrin and Nameless, because they know for street driving the stock AFR is by far the safest way to go.
