I hope it doesn't mean anything but when 2 automakers pull out the twins from the 2nd (?) largest market, it's at least news worthy I'd think.
Subaru might be a small player in China but Toyota isn't. Strangely, after they announced the pullout, prices have gone up significantly like 20-30%, so there are some demand.
Buick being popular in China has saved GM from dose diving into the ground and brought a few interesting models to the US e.g. Regal turbo, wagon, which few Americans care about outside Michigan.
