If yes to either, NO it would not be a good option, because most of the time, those would not cover modifications or failures due to tracking, racing, whatever you want to call it.
It would be a better waste of money to get the coverage on a non-modified, non-tracked vehicle.
However I would not recommend it either way, since it's basically unnecessary insurance.
Save money in a high-interest online savings account that is easily accessible for future unforeseen repairs.
