I was actually reading the rules yesterday and the toe arms are STX legal if you're using an adjustable LCA and not a modification to the upper arm (I think whiteline offers a camber bushing). Either it was changed in the last year or so or we're both crazy.

To your question, if you're the only guy showing up in SSC and there's someone running STX that isn't fully built it'd probably be more fun to compete heads up than just run for PAX on your lonesome. Same thing goes for a DS 86 that may want to run SSC for closer competition/a bigger field. It's a freebie for flexibility that doesn't really hurt anyone.

On double/unequal arm (e.g., wishbone, multi-link) suspensions, only the upper arms OR lower arms may be modified or replaced, but not both.
So mess with the top links or bottom links, doesn't matter how many. I could have sworn there was something in there as well that you could only change one link or something (maybe a misreading of the word 'both').

I'm going to be ordering a pair of SPC toe arms in a week or two because the cam bolt on toe has fucked me over on my DIY alignments far too many times, and it's a pain to adjust, check, adjust, oops screwed it up back up and adjust again etc. I was originally planning on swapping back to OE when I got the alignment dialed in, but upon re-reading the rules it's fine to run aftermarket toe-link and LCA so I'll keep it in.

Edit: Provided the bushing metallic/non-metallic ratio isn't violated, which doesn't appear to be the case on the SPC. But I'll measure when I pull it out.

Edit2:
OE link, looks close enough to be worth a shot.
