This is why I went to STX. It was fun being in a class where if I didn't like something I could fix it.
As for spec classing, I think if there is enough of a following for a car I would. That way you don't alienate drivers, since not everyone wants to jump into Street Touring. BUT I would put a contingency if participation is low 2 years in a row, then eliminate the class (Much like SSR).
That way SCCA isn't maintaining dozens of spec classes that no one races in.
