Honestly, when LJ saw the amount of timing that the log showed, he was dead set on it being the HG. (Not to say that was the actual reason why it blew)
So maybe they got lucky? I dont know. Im sure glad they didnt pull the engine for nothing.
I just drove it home from FullBlown, and even with the 65C thermostat, the coolant temp still rose to 202F when sitting at idle. The fans would then turn on, and fall back down to 194F. Im starting to think thats normal
