Have someone hit the brake and make sure you brake lights come on. If they don't your brake light switch is bad.

The car is known to throw codes for bad brake switch (As it sees the pressure in the brake lines, but doesn't see the brake light switch).

This would also explain why it wont let you out of park.

To override the gear lockout, there is a little rubber/plastic cover you can remove near your shifter and shove a screw driver in to release the lockout.
