In the end, you can't worry about others.
You know why you bought an FRS/BRZ, and just need to enjoy the car for yourself.
It seems very few get the point of this car, even "car guys" who think it should have more power.
The simple reality is that people who crave handling and eschew gadetry and features are a tiny sliver of the car buying public.
So, just motor on, and just tune out the mainstream.
Yes, it would suck if they scrapped the car, and support becomes harder, but that't not under our control.

That's pretty solid sales, when looked at it that way.
I doubt anyone is discussing discontinuing the Miata.

Is there really a "huge" surplus?
It seems like the market is fragmented.
Many cars are modded, which is a turn off for many buyers.
Some are salvage title.
Some are automatics.
Also, prices seem to vary.
I think finding a nice deal on an unmolested well-treated FRS/BRZ still takes some work.
