I'm not sure of anything at this point. I see what you mean about starting out in first. Maybe it's clutch chatter?
Like humfrz said. Have the fluid checked. Show them the grind/chatter. Do that first.
After that, if you can make/post a recording, I'd be glad to give it a listen. Beats spitting into the wind.
