So guys I have decided to go with the Michelin pilot super sports. Any experience or knowledge about this type of tire?

I had a couple questions regarding these tires,
Should I go with the sizes 215/45r17 or 225/45r17? Will I lose performance or cars feel if i chose one over the other?
Also how is the tread life on these, how long can i expect to use them? I will only be daily driving them, with no drifting.
