I wish I could give you a more informed opinion, but I don't have direct experience with the RCE Tarmac 2 Clubsports. Perhaps @
Racecomp Engineering can weigh in on how their dampers compare to those from AST, Moton, and MCS. My instinct is to say that the MCS dampers are on a different level, but again I don't have direct experience to draw from.
As for ride quality, they're fantastic - they ride like a motorsport damper so they're not buttery smooth, but wheel control is excellent and the chassis always remains composed. You asked about comfort with the rebound damping set to full soft, but I run square Swift 8K springs and find the car to be more comfortable with the rebound damping firm enough to offset such stiff springs. My preferred settings are 9 clicks out in the front and 6 clicks out in the rear from full soft out of a total range of 18 clicks. The bottom line is that you will not be disappointed with these coilovers.
