I'm using the TRD CAI btw (in case that's important)

I forgot to take a picture of the spacer, but it does have the extra hole for the 2017 aluminum intake manifold. However, I don't think the setup is seated properly.
As you can see, the spacer is not flush with the thermal gasket and the throttle body. When trying to screw the bolts back in, the bottom right screw is much further in than the other 3 screws. I'm not sure if this is causing the problem or if it's a faulty harness. I plan on calling Grams tomorrow. Thanks for the help/input
You really should have disconnected the battery the first time. I remember reading two other posts where they did not initially disconnect the battery and they had all the issues.

Try hitting the start button twice without stepping on the clutch peddle. this will put your cars electronics into the on position. Take the intake pipe off the throttle body while the car is in on position and have a friend step on the gas peddle. See if the throttle flap opens and closes. Have this friend try to turn the car on (start button with clutch pressed down) while the intake pipe is off. check to see if the flap opens.

If the flap opens doing the above then the electrical part is all good. If not get an amp meter or a friend with an amp meter and unplug the harness at the throttle body. Check to see if all the electrical pin are giving proper voltage readings. You are going to have to report these readings to grams to see if they can confirm the harness is ok or check on here for what the proper readings should be.

If the flap is opening and closing in the above tests and the connection is good. The next thing I would draw your attention to would be the threaded hole at the top of the throttle body that requires you to screw in the threaded plug provided with the kit. From your pics it looks like you screwed it in way to far to where it is not sealing off the whole. This could be the angle and resolution in your pictures but when compared to the pictures I took at 86fest it seems like you screwed it in way to deep which would leave you with an air leak.

So check those to things a post back what you found.
