Thunderhill Skid Pad August 13

We have 3 people confirmed. Looking for 2 others to join at the Thunderhill Skid Pad on August 13. I might allow a 6th person (want to allow as many FT86 members as possible without impacting logistics and quantity/quality of seat time). I've rented it twice in the last couple of months with FT86 members.

We'll be drifting and practicing car control. The course is large enough that we can setup a variety of courses to an extent. I have short cones that can be run over. Novices welcome. I couldn't even drift before last event.

They charge $650 to rent the skid pad with 4 drivers. Each additional driver is $100. So if we go as 4 people, it's $162.50 per person. They only allow one car on the skid pad at a time, unless we pay a $250 fee.

I recommend bringing sunscreen, cover such as a hat, tire change tools, ice cooler, a gallon of water, energy snacks, water sprayer for tires, and extra set of rear tires as a backup. It can be helpful to have higher grip tires on the front and lower grip tires on the rear, but don't drive to the event with that setup. Keep in mind that drifting will quickly wear out tires. A set of rear tires may last just 3-4 days of sharing the skid pad.
