Depends on the cars. I've see some cycle refreshes do fairly well.
The stats show that sales numbers have gone down and stayed there over the past 24 months for the 86/FRS. BRZ has stayed about the same. From the release until August 2015, they were moving about 1000+ per month. Since then, it's dropped down to around 600 per month.
2016 best was 688 units. 2015 best was 1274, with the worst being 588. 2014 best and worst was 1664 and 834, respectively. 2013 best and worst was 1937 and 1029, respectively.
These trends make me curious on exactly how much longer this car will be on sale for.
