How about the geopolitical repercussions of over fishing in the Asian Pacific?
well given the vast migratory patterns of most fish such as blue fin tuna and the variety of predators that depend on those fish the impact can be very serious indeed.

unfortunatly recent actions taken to help reduce over fishing haven't accomplished much even as fish production has stagnated over the last 20 years or so.

In recent years, international meetings on managing the Pacific bluefin tuna (Thunnus orientalis) and seafood auctions for this species have sparked headlines, such as those below, advocating urgent action to reduce overfishing or exclaiming at the astronomical prices for a single large fish.
