No parents would want their kids to be upside down on the mortgage. Unless you are getting married or have something to prove I really can't see why now is a good time to buy. Hopefully the housing market returns to affordability in a few years.

During these hard economic times, a friend of mine was saying how a lot of seemingly comfortable people asked why he's sticking with his 17 yr old rust bucket beater when he could just get a new car loan. Then he said well that new car is nice, and I'm sure the debt is even nicer. LMFAO!!
