As someone who had a few cosmetic dislikes about the stock look of the FR-S but never wanted to put any money on the aesthetics* I will tell you this. Find what you like and dislike about the car. If you love the way it drives but hate the stock <insert cosmetic here>. Then don't go adding a supercharger or turbo. That will alter what you love about the car.
For example, first thing I did was buy the car with the stock exhaust. I wanted a deeper growl than the stock, however I felt that the TRD was not quite what I wanted. I shopped around until I found what I wanted. (Took me 2 years, but I kept bouncing between 2-3 choices). Now I also hated the idea of using my stock rims as winter and summer tires, so I got new summer wheels and tires (I'm quite indifferent to the stock wheels).
Everything else that I have done have been things I grew to wish were different after having driven it or got bored of the look. For now I'm satisfied with how it is, so I won't change anything. I like the current power, it's very fun to me even with "it's lack of power".
I've driven more powerful cars that feel more subdued and everyone tells me I should have more fun with those because they've got more power, but they just feel lifeless to me... To me the FR-S gives you the feeling you have power and that you're going fast even when you're not. I'd rather have that than have all the power in the world and feel like you're in a school zone driving 130km/h on the highway.
