Yeah I thought that could be one possibility. But I took the easy approach, I added a bunch more water (about 64 oz) and waited for leaks. Nothing so far. I did notice that the cap to the reservoir is pretty easy to remove and may not stay fastened tightly. It may well be that it truly just all got used from long drives and/or from evaporation. I will keep an eye on it, and maybe look at it the next time I remove the front bumper.
