I was in a similar boat. Back in college I had a '90 Miata while most of the cars guys I hung out with had stuff like Grand Nationals, 3000GTs, Trans Ams, and the like. Since then I've gone through a few 300+ hp cars myself, but when it came time to find a new weekend toy I wanted to go back to something similar to what got me into cars in the first place. Now that I'm about 30 pounds wider (still 6' tall), I found the BRZ/86 a much better fit than the new Miata. So far I've been having a blast with the BRZ. I think I've only had the Cobra out once since buying the Subaru, haha.
