Im not sure im understanding correctly but

AFAIK their is no updates required to the engine control module or ECM for any car after 2013 or calibration id of BO1C\D or later.

The 2015 had a tsb issued for a TCM. or transmission control module reflash.
So i will assume that that's what the dealer did.

Note that Subaru and Toyota. Techs will often refer to any of the electronic control modules in the car as an ECU or electronic control unit , so it very easy to become unsure of what they are talking about.

Each control unit is separate and not effected by what is flashed to another unit.

Im pretty sure they have flashed the transmission TCM not the engine ECM

If you want to be super cautious and be able to keep the current engine control unit firmare, then assuming you flashed back to stock before dealer visit then erase oft with openflash manager and then remarry to current calid rom in car.

However dealers never mod a rom its always a standard rom so if calid is same as previous then your good to go anyway.

the dealer never fiddles with or customizes a rom they just flash the standard file from factory, as per tsb, if their is a change in the rom contents then the calibration id of the rom will change
