Screenshot from my Scion factory training:

This is what Scion thinks is it's target buyer.
That guy. Are you
that guy? I'm not
that guy. And I won't be caught driving the same brand that
that guy drives.
And here is a screenshot I took the same week while perusing ************* in late 2010:
Nobody
wants this car to be a Scion. Some of you may be able to live with the fact that it is a Scion, but given the choice, would you
rather see Scion or Toyota badges adorning your car? Would you
rather have a mono-spec model or actual trim levels to choose from? Would you
rather be associated with cars like the Celica, Supra, MR2 and 2000GT or with cars like the xA, xB, xD and tC? Think about it that way and maybe you'll see why so many of us are pissed off about Toyota's decision. I can't get a Toyota 86 GT Limited anymore, and I'm pissed off. I've owned 9 Toyotas in the past 7 years, but my next car will have the Stars of Pleiades on it. Oh well, at least they haven't forgotten how to properly market a car and offer trim levels that people actually want.
