Since StraightOuttaCanadaEh is from Canada eh, I'll just chip in to make a point.
Yes Miata is cheaper than Lotus, Cayman etc, but it is pricey in Canada. I could never stomach it as "good" value, even if it does bring all these good things to the table. When FRS came out, NC value proposition looked even worse.
If I remember correctly, NC range was about 29-39k. Now ND lists at 32k to 39 for GT.
An 86 now is 29 to start. Used to be 26k as Scion when I got it.
In US pricing is very close to start, so basically ND starts at 25 and up to 30 for GT. While 86 is 26k to start.
