Man on the streets of SF around 19th in the morning it would have been handy. But then I would have never learned the art of the quick foot start or the subtlety of the ebrake start. Some hills are so steep you can't not be scared, it's apart of the fun of manual transmission.
I never had a car with hill assist, how far will it let you roll back on a really steep hill?
