Still haven't signed the offer letter though, since I can't negotiate pay, I'm negotiating start date. Requesting to start first week of July, need some time to transition from nights to days.
(I'm also strongly leaning toward doing the west coast trip I planned back in 2015 but never got around to doing). Rough map, will do more planning once I get the confirmation of start date.

I might suggest you take along a co-pilot, to spell you from driving and share some expenses (like motel rooms) .......
