As far as buying a house in the Seattle area ...... you might want to consider holding off on that ....... I'm ah feared Seattle is blowing itself another housing bubble.
You might find yourself more comfortable, in a nice apartment or maybe a condo......while you're young, single, no children and upwardly mobile.

Very lucky I have parents who don't mind me living at home still, as long as I'm not a bum. Planned on moving out next year but that plan is derailed kinda.
