Come on.. please... no politics... no religion. I voted for President Trump and I won't bother you with my reasons, other than to say they certainly have nothing to do with hate or bigotry or any of the other buzzwords that are hurled at him and his supporters. I'm also a Christian. So far today I've had my faith insulted and our President mocked on this supposedly politics-and-religion-free forum. Fun. If people are permitted to voice negative opinions about Christianity (or any other religion) and political figures just because it's popular to do so these days despite forum rules, then I guess it would also be appropriate to speak out in support of Christian (or other religious) viewpoints and in support of President Trump's efforts economically, fiscally, and constitutionally.
However, I won't. As I've said a bunch of times in many other posts, I don't have the right or the desire to convince others that "I am right.. and you are wrong." I don't view it that way. Have your own opinions.. your own thoughts.. your own beliefs. Just recognize that not everyone agrees with you, and that those who don't are necessarily stupid or hateful. The most hateful behavior in the political arena I have ever seen in my 57 year lifetime has come from those opposed to President Trump. Disagree all you want; I certainly disagreed with the vast majority of President Obama's agendae and policies. NEVER was he so villified by those who opposed him as President Trump has been. Not even close.
It's too bad. I've truly enjoyed a lot of the time spent here with you all; agreements, disagreements, playful repartee... Ultra, T, Humfrz, DadHawk, and a bunch of others... all good, intelligent, witty people with a lot to offer. It'd be great to share a beer and some laughs with any of you.
Mods, do what you will. If we're to be apolitical and religion-free, keep it that way. If, however, it's OK to follow the current "hip" trends of atheism and hatred of anything Trump ever does by making snide, snipey posts, then ban ME. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one on this forum who would like to see a bit more love of a power greater than man and a bit more adherence to the principals upon which the U.S. of A. were founded, but perhaps I'm the only one who can't take the vitriol any more.
