I installed a Perrin Gurney flap on my FRS today. My wife did the collage of me installing it. Yes, it is bolted on and it is permanent, not just 3M taped. It is a permanent part of the spoiler now. I like it, it makes the car stand out from the crowd of other white FRS'es in this area.
The only part of it it that I don't like is that 1 rivnut insert got messed up (I didn't drill quite deep enough) and pushes out a tiny bit. The kit from Perrin should have included a couple extra rivnut inserts. If you look from the top you can see it poking out a little. Also, the horizontal spacing was tough to get perfect and I am still not 100% happy with it. I'll mess with it and get it perfect eventually- it was starting to get hot outside, I was done after.
My spoiler is a BRZ spoiler I got from someone on this forum. The OEM FRS spoiler was something like $300-400 and I declined the option. I found the BRZ spoiler (I like the BRZ spoiler a lot better anyway) for $120 and mounted it myself. So the BRZ Perrin Gurney Flap fit with no problem on my FRS. I hope it confuses people a little
