Tapping/Knocking Sound from Front Coilovers

I installed Ohlins R&T Coilovers about two years and 30k miles ago on my stock swaybars and endlinks. The product has been fantastic, but while going downhill and then sharply uphill at an intersection, I started to hear a tapping/knocking sound from the suspension. The lower control arm of the front is slightly scratched, so I'm wondering if I compressed the spring too much or if over time the car has settled to the point where the stock endlink is too long for the recommended ride height that Ohlins gives you (-20mm front/-15mm rear).

It's not that the top hat moved or alignment changed significantly, right? What should I have a shop look at?
