To each his own, I guess, but for functionality I don't see any reason to go beyond 17", or 16" even.
I'm currently looking for new 17s for my RX-7. Even at 500+hp, I want to avoid going to 18s if possible. The 17" wheel selection is more limited with big brakes (StopTech), though...
