Regardless of what car you buy, people will always find something negative to say about the purchase. Oh you bough an SUV? Don't you care about the environment? Oh you bought a prius? You know much of a carbon footprint those have, just being built? Oh you bought a mustang? OK BROSEF DONT RUN ME OVER WIT DEM HORSIES. Oh you bought a honda? Well it ain't a type-r so it ain't a tight car mr fast and furious.
What truly matters is how you feel. Will YOU be content with this purchase? They are not driving the car every day. They are not paying your car payment every month. Personally, every time I get into my manual fr-s I smile. Driving it makes me happy, and I often find myself saying, "this is the perfect car for me." So do you think that's how you will feel? If you get something else, will you sit in traffic every day dreaming about the frs/brz, or will you be glad you purchased something with more doors and seats?
