I showed them that I can comfortably fit a car seat in the back seat, it offers a good safety rating, I average 30 mpg between city and highway traveling and it cost less than $30k. Plus, in my opinion it's less of a mid life crisis car than if I had bought a Vette. I cross shopped the WRX, MX-5 and 370z. The FRS simply checked off more things off my list.
