It depends on where you live too. I used to live in New Orleans. Man I had some low profile tires. New Orleans has some killer pot holes when it rains. I had some OZ superleggeras. saw a puddle in the road and didnt think it was that deep. Bam goodbye rim.
Not sure if the size of the tire would have saved the wheel to be honest.
