Watch the video in this thread. Wire your light like he does in "version 2" as follows. Red wire gets de-soldered from "fog", green wire de-soldered from "TA" and now those two ends get connected together. This becomes the Blue wire on the outside harness which gets tapped into your running/parking light circuit. The V light is now on with running/parking lights (red wire on factory tail light harness I believe) Apparently you have already done this step but double check your work.
Now de-solder just the orange wire from the "stop" terminal and re-solder it to the "fog" terminal. Now both the orange wire to "fog" and the black wire to "stop" become the Red wire on the outside which gets tapped into your brake circuit. (Green wire on the factory tail light harness) This will give 12V to the "Triangle" and F1 blinking circuit when you step on the brakes.
12V is required at the "fog" terminal to power the triangle LED's and 12V at the "stop" terminal drives the F1 blinking circuit which interrupts the ground side of the triangle several times, giving you the blinking effect during braking.
If this is how you have it, triple check you connections, make sure you have them right and everything is making good contact. I think there was another post where someone had a similar issue and it turned out to be a loose connection at the tail light.
