They will fit. Install them, put the car on the ground and then record a video with your phone to check clearance. There are plenty of people running 17x9 +40/+42 with no problems, although the clearance is very tight.
Or just spend the $10-15 for 3mm spacers to get +35 which there are tons of people on 17x9 +35.
Don't worry so much, worry about what color lug nuts you want.
