I wouldn't worry too much. I think this happens when the car gets confused about the readings it's receiving. At worst, it's a Wheel Speed Sensor going bad. It's happened to me a handful of times, but only after hooning around (typically in the snow.) It seems like the logic of the car is set up so that, at a certain point, it decides that maybe you aren't ACTUALLY hooning, and that it's actually got a bad speed sensor. At that point, it goes into "safe mode" until you restart the car. It doesn't have any long-lasting effects.
If you're getting it during regular driving, it's probably the exact same thing - a weird reading - but since you are NOT hooning in that case, it might actually BE a bad speed sensor, or some other sensor or wire.
Point it, you car isn't going to blow up or anything.
