There is no "problem" it is just how the door locks work. You have 30 seconds to use the power lock before it deactivates. After 30 seconds you have to use the manual unlock. It is pretty much standard safety feature on all cars for many years now since it prevents any kid with a stick from pushing the window open and unlocking the car with a stick.
I must say that your original post did bring a humourous picture to mind even if you can't laugh along with the rest of us.
