The reason people are making the comments they are is because of the way you worded your original post. At no point were you "locked in the car" as you put it. In fact, you even said, and I quote:

There is nothing freaky being locked in the car because you aren't locked in. But you made it sound as if you had no idea how else to exit the vehicle, and started freaking out a bit.
